Welcome to Germany!

Class Information

In Class Germany our teacher has taught us how to be resilient and to try our hardest, even when faced with a challenge!

Our Germany class teacher is Miss Fletcher and our wonderful teaching assistant is Miss Southgate.

Water bottles

Please remember to bring in your school water bottle every day. Water is so important to keep our brains working and soaking up all that new knowledge! Water bottles will be sent home every night to be washed and refilled ready for the next day.

Germany have PE on a Monday.

Please make sure that your child comes to school in their PE kit as most of our PE will be outside, please ensure they are wearing a tracksuit.  Other kit can be a white T-shirt, black shorts/leggings and pumps or trainers.

Germany will receive their homework every Friday. It will consist of Spellings which follow sounds we have been learning in class, some Maths work and a Power project which can we worked on over a half term. The more tasks you complete the more Dojos you will be awarded with. Home learning will be uploaded to class dojo for you to complete and send back for marking.  If you would prefer a hard copy just let us know by emailing the school office.

We love to read in Year 1 and are so happy when children tell us about their favourite books. To improve your child’s reading it is so important to read with them every day, even 5 minutes can make all the difference. Really focus on asking questions about their book as this will help them with their reading comprehension. Children should bring their book bags everyday to school so reading records can be checked. Books will be changed every Monday and Thursday.
