Germany have PE every Friday.

Please make sure that your child comes to school in their PE kit.  To enable your child to be as independent as possible, please ensure that they are able to dress and undress unaided if possible.  Please also ensure that every item of clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name as clothes may become mixed up when getting ready.

Germany will receive their homework every Friday. It will consist of Spellings which follow sounds we have been learning in class, some Maths work and a Power project which can we worked on over a half term. The more tasks you complete the more Dojos you will be awarded with. Home learning will be uploaded to class dojo for you to complete and send back for marking.  If you would prefer a hard copy just let us know by emailing the school office.

We love to read in Year 1 and are so happy when children tell us about their favourite books. To improve your child’s reading it is so important to read with them every day, even 5 minutes can make all the difference. Really focus on asking questions about their book as this will help them with their reading comprehension. Children should bring their book bags everyday to school so reading records can be checked. Books will be changed every Monday and Thursday.
